great info, but I guess I still will go for the manual linking. The sites to be linked will be processed better than automatic linking. You could find sites that are relevant, has great PR and good content...

manual linking works better, but it depends on how you link exchange, of course the number 1 rule is "do link exchange with site that have the same niche like yours"...
