Arrow Domain Age?

I have read somewhere else that domain age is one of factor to get high ranking and PR in google. Google also consider domain age of backlinking sites. Any other SEs do this?

If you do a search for a competitive search term in Google, you will usually find 9 out of 10 sites are more than 5 years old.

yeah, domains are like wine: the older one - the better one. Linking from older sites can push up your site in google more than "fresh" sites". It's quite reasonable, because older siter are more trust worthy than "youngsters".
Btw. it's example of an adult site: marble.com - and I don't mean it's content

Yup.. the age of any domain may reflect the PR... But it not always the same... Some new website appears to have a good PR because of the traffic lured to that site...

Yes domain age does give you an advantage in ranking but does not have anything to do with PR. In fact PR is very simple to calculate and it only takes into consideration the backlinks to a page. The only reason that old domains have high PRs is because they have a higher likelihood of having a lot of backlinks as compared to "fresh" domains.

A younger domain can actually have a higher PR
