I am not much into these fields but I feel that this new changes in this forum by jitender are really good. I have more suggestions like adding new Groups like " Softwares and Hardwares" where people can talk about new softwares and can resolve problems of hardware.

Yes, vBulletin is much more advancded and optimized for speed, performance than phpBB

phpBB is a nice option to get started

Vbulletin is a great option, however I have always liked Simple Machines Forum software which has a bit of everything all for nothing (free).
