Cool Does buying traffic really help PR?

Hi,

While I´ve been looking for advertising I´ve come about "buy traffic" sites claiming a steady stream of incoming traffic will help PR / SE rankings.

Is this really true - I mean - is it true even for "hits" like pop-generated traffic/hits?

I guess it´s possible SE´s monitor visitor frequency (traffic), but if all the visits are just short hits (most pop-traffic is just a very short visit(hit)) then does that really count toward a better ranking (even though one rarely makes sales on such advertising).

Also, I´ve seen sites selling "expired domain traffic" - and I even tried a small campaign a few weeks back - that traffic seems to be more "real" than pop-traffic (at least these visitors where clicking on to other pages and I even made a few sales...) - so would that help my rankings in the long run?
